When it comes 2 mentioning the best MCs
in the business, no list can be compiled without mentioning Ludacris.
Hailing from Chicago, and residing in Atlanta, he’s been
labeled by some, as the “Clown Prince Of The South.”
Luda may love 2 clown, but is in no way a clown ( in the negative
sense of the word). The kat’s got much skill on the mic.
It appears that he also has the business & acting skills 2
go along. Luda has been making a lot of noise lately with his
album, “Chicken and Beer,” and his DTP Records. His
first artist, Chingy, has been doing damage 2 the charts and the
airwaves since day one of his solo release. Ludacris has also
reportedly inked a deal with Troop. The clothing and shoe company,
once popular back in the late 80’s - early 90’s. He’s
been doing some acting, as well ( 2 Fast 2 Furious ).
Luda, who’s signed 2 Def Jam South as a solo artist, has
had the Midas touch so far. From his first single, “What’s
Yo Fantasy,” up until “Stand Up,” he’s
entertained the world with his witty and sometimes comical style
of delivery.
In november, we were invited 2 check Luda out in concert. He,
Chingy, Shawnna, and the rest of DTP were in Jackson / Canton,
Mississippi for the Capitol City Classic between Jackson State
and Alcorn State. Luda ripped it up as usual. Before going into
his mega hit, “Stand Up,” he hollas at some honeys
in the back. “Hey girls, I see u.
Yeah, u in the back. What u sittin’ down
for ? U know what u gotta do...... stand yo ass up.” The
crowd went off on that.
His stage presence is phenomenal. His charisma
is second 2 none. But it’s his way with words that’s
made him the force he is in this business. Scarface, Def Jam,
& Def Jam South...Yall gotcha a winner. Big ups 2 Luda. Rapper,
Actor, & CEO.....The New Triple Threat !!
