You’re the host of
a new program coming out of Columbus, Mississippi, called The
Golden Triangle Train - tell our readers about your show.
We entertain people in four states: Mississippi,
Tennessee, Alabama, and Arkansas. We try to show local artists
and major artists, sometimes, with a twist. We try to show ‘em
that not only can we do it here in Columbus, but in other areas
as well. We try to show ‘em that Mississippi does have some
tight and interesting artists - whether it’s
poetry, rap, comedy, or whatever.
You’ve done television before, with
a show called A Moment With Rick Mason, but I think a lot of people
in northeast Mississippi really know u from your days in radio.
What made u go back to television ?
I try to go in and out of television and
radio, because my main objective is to be an entertainer. Where
ever I can get in, I’m gonna try to fit in. I’m back
on the radio again. So now I’m doin’ tv and radio
at the same time.
What does an artist or label have to do
to be on your show ?
Just call me at (662) 251-6064 or mail me at 74 Chism Road, Columbus,
Mississippi 39702, Attention: Rick Mason Communications. Then,
we can go from there.
What exactly is Rick Mason Communications
?
Everything falls under one umbrella. Whether
it’s entertainment, gettin’ a brother out of
jail, puttin’ em on the map, setting them up with promotions
and shows, promoting their music, or anything that falls under
entertainment in Mississippi, I can plug ‘em up.
Who are some of the people you’ve
had on the show ?
Recently, we had Trina - The Baddest Chick,
Comedian - Tyler, from B.E.T.’s Comic View, Scar (from Big
Boi’s Purple Ribbon label) - he’s from right here
in Columbus, and of course, you’ve been on the show. Coming
February 16th, we’ve got Maceo (“Go Sit
Down”), he’ll be on The Golden Triangle Train. We’re
gonna have a big concert here. So if u wanna be a part of that
show, call or mail me.
