While David Banner is synonymous with the state of Mississippi, there are a number of artists who have been bubbling right under the surface, ready to break out into superstardom.

The Queen Boyz is such a group.

Grinding in the music business for nearly a decade under the 1 Life 1 Love Records banner, Benz and Bra have seen their share of ups and downs in the game (losing a distribution deal with Interscope and various court cases), but are reloaded with their new mixtape, "Getcha Weight Up," in stores and a new attitude.

What have ya'll been doing since Boo got the new record deal?

Bra: Well, you know, grinding. A nigga been out of the area for a minute. But now you know it kind of slowed down, but when I got back we picked it back up and now it's finna go all the way live.

So what's the new mixtape coming out?

Benz: It's called "Getcha Weight Up."

What's that going to be about?

"Getcha Weight Up" is going to be exactly what it's talking about - Getcha muthafuckin' weight up! If you an artist, if you a group, if you a hater, if you a label, if you a nigga, if you a bitch, if you ain't on our side or you ain't down with us, getcha weight up nigga.

What ya'll got planned for the mixtape? Ya'll plan on doing any touring, videos or anything else besides that?

Bra: We don't know yet. We might. We might. You know, it's just gonna be a surprise. We ain't gonna let it all out. We just gonna come in and take it all over so quick they ain't even gonna know it. So, we ain't just gonna put it out there yet.

Mississippi, I heard here, there's a lot of haters and a lot of problems going on. I heard some niggas was saying shit. I ain't gonna mention no names, but I heard it was some problems with a certain artist out of Mississippi, but it was actually a misinterpretation. What's the deal with that? I want to get your feedback on that.

It could be anyone you talking about because it's been a couple of situations. It's been some niggas with some major power and at some major levels that's done said some hatin' shit and it got back to us. It's been some weak, little boy-ass niggas that's done said some shit and it done got back to us. Okay, as far as the major niggas in the major positions they had to bow they ass down and straighten they situations out. As far as the pussy-ass nigga, little-ass nigga on a little-ass level, they get smashed. So they got smashed.

Bra: Like that weekend in the club!

Benz: Exactly! Now, whoever that apply to, if ya feelings get hurt we talking about you. If ya feelings don't get hurt then we ain't talking about you. You know who it is.

Bra: Fifteen minute mufucka!

What's up with Boo's situation and how is that going to affect ya'll?

Bra: Oh, it's a good thang. Everythang is gonna be good. It put all of us in a good situation to where we can all better ourselves and give the world a piece of our mind.

Kind of explain it to me.

Bra: Well, you know, he done got signed, so now since he's signed they looking at us. They talking, but they ain't talking the right thang yet. So, you know, once they start talking the right thang then that's when it's really gonna get right.

What did the situation at Interscope teach ya'll?

Benz: The negative out of the shit was a nigga got lazy for a minute. Another negative out the muthafucka was, which really was a positive, it made us smarter to the major side of shit. The positive thang that came out of it - shit we got a six-figure check. Shit a lot of niggas ain't gonna see six figures while they're on this earth. Another positive out the thang was it showed us man if you an independent or you a major, don't never get sidetracked. Because see, a lot of mufuckas once they get on a major deal, think they gotta stop working. But once you get on a major, that's when you got to work harder. Like if you was sleeping four hours when you was independent and working 20 hours a day, when you get a major you gotta work 34 and you know what that means - stay ya ass up.
