What it is guys ? What’s up ? Who yall got in the group ?

We got T.C., Pat McDeazy, and Dizzy. Where are yall from ?

TC : I’m from Ohio, Dizzy’s from Florida, and McDeazy’s from Ohio. We’re all living in Louisville, Mississippi right now.

How did u all end up there ?

Pat McDeazy : Family

TC : Yeah, we all got family here.

Have u done any recording yet ?

TC : Yeah, we’ve done a compilation which featured Lil’ NiQ, Ken Ken, and Bogey. Production was done by Lil’ John (John Wooten Jr.).

How long have u guys been perfoming ?

We’ve only been together as a group for a few months.

Dizzy : I’ve been rapping since I was 12.

TC : I’ve been rapping since 13. McDeazy: 13 for me too. We’re all 18 right now.

Are yall happy with where rap is today ?

TC : I’m really tryin’ 2 get out there with my lyrics. I got real skills. U got these rappers spending a whole verse talkin’ bout their car, their candy paint, and their rims, and I’m like..... what ? What is that ?

What do yall want from this business ?

Pat : I ain’t gone lie, I want money and fame. I’m the one who likes attention. I like 2 stand out in a crowd. I wanna be able 2 invest, so that when I have kids, they won’t have 2 go thru what I’ve gone thru.

Dizzy : I wanna be able 2 do my own thang eventually. I wanna run my own label. Right now we’re just tryin’ 2 bring Lower Level Records up. That’s the label we’re with right now.

What’s Southern Property’s style ?

Pat : TC’s is a Northern style, mine is Southern, and Dizzy’s is straight gutter.

I know u guys are young, but have u seen any hard times ?

TC : Coming from Ohio, I didn’t live in a very bad area, but it was still the ghetto. It wasn’t as bad as Pat McDeazy had it livin’ in Cleveland.

Pat : Yeah, It was do or die. My sister and I watched this old man get his head busted open. They took his clothes and shoes, and left him with just his socks. This was in front of the Gund Arena (home of the Cleveland Cavaliers). Gettin’ your car broke into was like a everyday thang. If it happened u wouldn’t get all upset about it, cause u use 2 it.

Dizzy : I grew up in Tallahassee it wasn’t that bad, since I was young. U know, mama doing what she can 2 feed ya. In Mississippi we sideways grinding. Doin’ what we gotta do 2 survive. U know what I mean ?

What’s the mood on your upcoming cd ?

TC : We try 2 keep it real. Talkin’ bout ghetto life. Our music is country. That’s what we do.

Since Louisville isn’t a well known city in Mississippi, do u think u get left outta the loop ?

Pat : Yeah, nobody’s ever released a cd from our city before. We’ll be the first. We love the pressure. That’s what Lower Level is all about. Those artist that get left outta the loop. We’re straight underground.
